Congratulations to Wendy Dillow!
2021-2022 EJES Teacher of the Year
We are proud to have you represent East Jackson Elementary!
Meet Wendy Dillow, EJES Instructional Coach
Mrs. Dillow has been with EJES since its first year. Over the years she has taught kindergarten, first and fourth grades, Early Intervention Program (EIP), and served as Parent and Family Engagement Specialist and Multi-Tiered Student Support Coordinator (MTSS) and coached middle and high school cheerleading. She is currently serving as an Instructional Coach for kindergarten and first grade along with being the K-2 MTSS Coordinator.
Mrs. Dillow believes that building relationships with students and their families is an essential component to student success. In her various roles and experiences, she loves identifying goals for students, putting action plans in place, and watching students meet the goals. Giving 110% is a work ethic that was instilled in her by her grandfather. Mrs. Dillow discovered her love of teaching when she was seven years old as she taught her cousin and stuffed animals all the things she learned in school. Mrs. Dillow has a Master of Arts in Early Childhood Education and an Educational Specialist degree in Curriculum and Instruction as well as an Educational Leadership add-on certificate.
Mrs. Dillow is proud to be an East Jackson Eagle! She and her husband, Dale, have raised their three children in the EJ community and schools. You can find them on Friday nights on the sidelines cheering, on the field playing, or ringing a cowbell in the stands for the EAGLES! In her spare time, Mrs. Dillow enjoys DIY projects, working with the family's four dogs, working on home improvement projects, traveling with family, and singing with her choir family at The Grove. Her favorite (or most used) hashtag is #proudtobeaneagle.
