Ms. Lucie Ausburn

    Ms. Lucie Ausburn, an educator for 16 years, serves as the Assistant Principal of Instruction at East Jackson Comprehensive High School. She has previously served as a high school mathematics teacher, District Instructional Math Coach, and Assistant Principal. 

    Mrs. Ausburn began her tenure in Gwinnett County as a high school mathematics teacher and Marching Band Color Guard Instructor. After teaching and coaching for 11 years, Mrs. Ausburn had the opportunity to serve as District Instructional Math Coach for Gwinnett County Public Schools. As a Math Coach, she provided ongoing math support and professional learning to K-12 teachers throughout Gwinnett County. As an Assistant Principal at Mountain View High School, Ms. Ausburn worked closely with teachers and teacher leaders to implement engaging, literacy-focused instruction.

    Mrs. Ausburn received her bachelor’s degree from the University of Georgia and a master’s degree from Georgia State University. Mrs. Ausburn also earned her credentials in Educational Leadership from the University of Georgia. Mrs. Ausburn is married to Jeff Ausburn, also a University of Georgia graduate. They have a son, Ethan, who is 16, and a daughter, Hadley, who is 12.
